When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life.

“The Faeroe Islanders slaughter long- and short-finned pilot whales in the Faeroe Islands in the country’s annual, brutal whale ‘drives.’  Between 2,000 and 3,500 pilot whales are corralled by men in boats and forced into bays in this North Sea Danish Protectorate. The animals are trapped in the shallow waters. The islanders gaff the marine mammals with spears and slaughter them by severing the whales’ spines with long knives. The whales are stoned, speared, stabbed, slashed, and clubbed by people in a festive atmosphere. This slaughter is particularly gruesome since the killing is conducted as a community sporting event with young children often participating in the killing of the visibly and audibly terrified whales.  The hunt is done because of tradition and the absurd belief by the Faeroese that God gave the whales to the people to be slaughtered.”

With events like these I lose my hope for humankind…

A testament to the fact of many individuals’ innate hostility, as well as the collective whole.

A Brief Letter of Awareness regarding Obama

Dear the people of America, the youth, the skeptics, the people who watched the Obama Deception, the people who don’t care about politics, the people who know nothing of politics, the people who wish to vote or not vote: Obama’s policies and mindset are geared more toward humane and logical reasoning rather than political manipulative strategies. Please, compare him to previous presidents.

Obama has nullified the crazy previous plans of the Bush administration and has justified himself as a good American president by applying his actions to reconcile the overwhelming build-up of past war-hungry political associations. How could you not consider appreciation towards his efforts of attributing to the resolution of dismantling atomic weapons and Bush’s anti-missile defense plan? This is exactly why Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize. Following the honorable event, the only people who have not and do not appreciate this are the anti-Obama ones, the war-hungry politicians, and the one’s against this resolution act. Politicians and journalists against the act have tried and still try to put him down especially to propel us against his re-election.

To those who have accused him of not letting the banks and financial institutions (responsible for the economic crisis) go bankrupt instead of saving them from collapse through government subventions and huge funds, do not realize the immense effect it would have impeded on the ENTIRE economic system—a huge collapse for EVERYONE. Note: Ego will destroy your most precious power, your mind.

Lastly, regarding the withdrawal of troops from the Iraq War, it seems that so many have immediately judged Obama as the “bad guy” because of the “lack” of enforcement of the action or it was “not happening.” Given the facts, the Iraq War was initiated by George W. Bush along with the occupation of troops resulting it and instigated chaos and a civil war in the country, extending consequences massively not only for them but for the US—our NATIONAL DEBT. Now when Obama steps into position within a few months or years, people suddenly expect him to magically repair this overwhelming build-up, this catastrophe, which let alone, has persisted for MANY years and has grown on miserable forms, and to transform Iraqi into a peaceful land!

Besides all this, Obama gives us POSITIVE thinking. I do not understand why people would just believe he has this manipulative “scheme” when really, using words like “Change” and “Hope” for the country is something, I feel, profound to our human consciousness. This beats words like “fear” and “war on terror” for me. I conclude this letter by saying…how could you not give him major credit (and/or vote—he has mine)? Politics and the system are very lucrative, decision-making in this category needs a wise strategist—and I’m pretty sure Barack Obama wins that vote, or at least to say, he’s been trying his very best.

Peace.

Sincerely,
